20 Dec Transcore, Shearwater Exhibit at NAPE 2018
Transcore Geoscience Limited, an affiliate of Westfield Energy Resources Limited and its partner, Shearwater GeoServices, Norway, had a successful exhibition at the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) 36th Annual International Conference and Exhibitions. The 2018 edition which held from 19 – 22 November at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was titled “Evolving Strategies for a Sustainable Petroleum Business in a Fluctuating Oil Price Regime.”
The NAPE President, Dr. Andrew Ogaga Ejayeriese visited Transcore/Shearwater booth at the event where Transcore’s Lead Geoscientist, Dr. Chukwuma Ozor talked about the companies’ capabilities to execute state-of-the-art Marine Seismic Acquisitions, Land/ Marine Seismic Data Processing projects, Seismic QA/QC Consultancy Service, Seismic Data Interpretation and Geotechnical Survey Services. He also identified the capacity of Shearwater in executing acquisition contracts, by indicating their recent purchase of WesternGeco, the seismic acquisition business of Schlumberger in October 2018, which avails Shearwater seventeen (17) Marine Seismic vessels with four vessels having OBN capabilities.
Transcore and Shearwater recently entered into partnership agreement under which Transcore will be the local representative of Shearwater in Nigeria.
NAPE is the largest professional body of geoscientists and related disciplines in Nigeria and Africa with members spanning from geologists, geophysicists, CEOs, managers, consultants, students and academicians. This made it a valid platform for Transcore/Shearwater to demonstrate their business acumen to a platform of specialists in the Exploration sector of the Oil & Gas Industry in Nigeria and Africa.
