Following the successful completion of the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) of Tanks 4, 6, 7 and 12 Repairs and Upgrade (TRU) project, contracted by Chevron Nigeria Limited, Westfield Energy Resources Limited has flagged off the mandatory manpower development phase of the project.

The FEED part of the project which ran from January to July 2017 involved the demolition of the existing fixed roof in tanks 4 and 6, likewise single deck floating roof in tanks 7 and 12 and replacing them with a double deck, double seal floating roof. 

Staff and Management of Westfield Energy Resources Limited (WERL) led by the MD/CEO, Mr. Henry Okolie-Aboh recently gathered to celebrate three of their own: Chinyere Harriet Obadike a Procurement Manager, popularly known as Madam Chi; Okechukwu Okolie-Aboh, a Shipping and Logistics Assistant and Ikechukwu Mbagwu, a Driver all who have spent 10 years in the organisation.

Staff at the event spoke glowingly about the celebrants, describing them as hardworking, committed and accommodating. The MD described them as embodiment of hardwork and dedication. He said as pioneer staff of WERL, they have grown with the company. He went further to narrate the story of the humble beginning of WERL and how it has grown to its present state, with the hardwork and contributions of people like Chinyere, Okechukwu and Ikechukwu.

Westfield Energy Resources Limited was recently awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification by Bureau Veritas, a world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification services. The company achieved this international standard certification through dedication and with the cooperation of all members of staff, especially the Quality Assurance department. During the six months implementation period of the Quality Management System that built-up to the certificate issuance, the company developed its quality manual and defined quality policies and objectives. Quality procedures with work processes were drawn up with flow charts, work instructions etc. covering all aspects of our operations, resulting in standardization and facilitating operational excellence. Training needs were also identified and yearly training schedules planned for employees to be more well verse in performing their duties.
