22 Aug Westfield Extends the Scope of its ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Westfield Energy Resources Limited an integrated provider of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning with start-up services both onshore and offshore for the entire energy value-chain has extended the scope of its ISO 9001:2015 certification to include its Engineering services.
It would be recalled that in March 2018, Westfield transitioned from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 which was limited to the procurement services of the company.
The Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) contracts recently executed by Westfield for the repair and upgrade of Tanks 4, 6, 7 & 12 of Chevron Nigeria Limited provided a great opportunity for the organization to be able to validate the engineering scope.
Westfield’s Risk and Opportunity Register, Quality Objectives, Organizational Knowledge, Competence Register etc were all revised to include the additional scope.
Internal audit was conducted for the engineering department to ensure compliance. This was followed by the external audit by Bureau Veritas. The highlighted areas of improvement were closed out within the allowed timeframe.
The CEO of Westfield, Mr. Henry Okolie-Aboh described the acquisition of the certification as one of the many steps being taken by the company to ensure the delivery of quality services to its clients.
