Total E&P Nigeria Limited recently engaged Westfield Energy Resources Limited for the implementation of lightning and earthing protection correction works at their facility in Owaza and Rumuji. The facility had earlier suffered system failure thus leading to its unscheduled shut down.

The work scope includes the improvement of earthing systems, installation of SPD’s, improvement of the grounding networks and air termination systems.

Westfield Energy achieved all objectives set-out by Total with no shut down of facilities during the operations. There was no recorded incident and Westfield Energy staff actively participated in the QHSE meetings, making valuable contributions.
